The result has been the accumulation of over 2,000 cellphone pictures on my computer. Technically speaking, these photos are low-quality and rather un-advanced, but this hasn't deterred me.
Anxious to actually use these photos for some sort of project, I narrowed my set of photos down to my favorite 300, printed them, and posted every one in the Upper School Library elevator as part of my independent study in Photography this year. When posting the set, I specifically randomized the photos and posted them together to induce a feeling of over-stimulation from the contrasting images.
My favorite part of this installation is that when I view the collection of images, I remember when, where and why I took every photo. However, to anyone else the series is completely out of context. This separates the image of the photo from the experience, and allows for a different interpretation (and probably confusion) for every viewer.
